"Sergio" is the result of our 30 plus years of breeding Pointers.
He has been carefully bred with a strong emphasis on top quality imported UK lines, using the best available in Australasia over the years.
Pictured winning Best Puppy In Show at the 2015 Pointer Club NZ Specialty show, Judge Ria Nelis (Freebreeze UK) he also won best dog and Challenge.
Judge Ria Nelis said of him: "Beautiful quality o/w puppy. Finest of ear leathers, pronounced occiput, good quality oval bone, excellent feet and pasterns.
He has an elegantly arched neck and is smooth over the shoulder. He is balanced in angulation and not overdone. His clean lines are finished off with a lovely tail which he uses on the move.
He has lovely smooth action and he holds his topline. I could not deny him BD and the DCC despite his young age as I feel he can only get even better with time.
One to be proud of and if I were in NZ then I would be keen for him to be part of my breeding programme."
Sergio, like Zen & Cara from our 2011 litter, is linebred to Jo Dowthwaite's "Roman" (NZ Ch. Freebreeze Romantic Fool at Notting Hill Imp UK) who was bred by Ria Nelis (Freebreeze) using Cicely Robertshaw's influential Lynwater Atlantic Crossing of Crookrise.
Lynwater Atlantic Crossing of Crookrise was the result of Cicely importing frozen semen of AM Ch.Bookstore Robert Frost from Howard Spey in the USA.
Doing this enabled Cicely to bring back into her breeding the influence of her classical dogs of the past like FT CH Crookrise Rhythm, SH CH Crookrise Rio, Traighmor Media Maid of Crookrise, Crookrise Flint etc.
Sergio is a very special dog to us, and we are deeply grateful to all these people around the world whose dedication to the breed over the years has allowed us to breed him.
